Materials:

oil on canvas

Size Notes:

canvas: 22 by 30 inches (55.9 by 76.8 cm)

Edition:

This work has an old glue lining. There is a more recent small reinforcement on the reverse, addressing a loss in the sky in the upper left. The painting is clean, retouched and varnished. There is a restored complex break in the canvas, running from the roof of the farmhouse through the chimney on the right into the trees above, which measures about 6 inches in total. The trees, landscape and buildings are otherwise in very good condition. The grey color in the sky, including the lighter grey in the lower sky, has been retouched extensively. These retouches may address a visible canvas texture that developed here. There are no retouches between the branches of the trees. The work should be hung in its current state.
